About Halemove

Halemove makes printable exercise plans for older adults. Each plan runs for 28 days, takes 10 to 20 minutes a day, and shows every move with a clear photo and three short steps.

Who writes the plans

Every plan is written by a professional movement coach with 13 years of coaching experience, including injury rehab and group classes for older adults. The moves are the ones used in those classes: simple, safe to learn at home, and easy to make easier or harder.

How the plans are built

Each plan has 16 moves in three parts: a warm-up, a main block and a cool-down. Week one starts with short sets, and each week adds a little more: more days, more reps or a longer hold. A tracker and a short progress test on Day 1, 14 and 28 let you see the change for yourself.

Made to be read

The guides use large print in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for readers with low vision, with high-contrast colors and one clear photo per move. Every plan comes in a men's and a women's edition, with the same moves and photos to match.

A note on health

The plans are for general fitness and are not medical advice. If you have a health condition, a recent injury or surgery, check with your doctor or physical therapist before you start, and stop any move that hurts.
